The Colors tab configures the six semantic names used by Filament. Changes feed native palettes, so supported buttons, badges, notifications and other native components can use the same semantic color names. Every value is a six-digit HEX color. Primary is the same Accent used in Appearance; it is not a second independent setting. The preview shows the same components in light and dark columns without changing the current app mode. The default semantic palettes contain tuned light/dark status pairs. Custom seeds use Filament’s palette generation; a HEX seed is not a promise that every component paints that exact HEX in both modes. Components select appropriate shades for their native variant. Literal application colors remain literal.

Enforce selected palettes

Other preferences remain editable. Save/import/reset enforce the same locks.

Use semantic colors

FLEX does not add a built-in secondary picker. Additional application color names can still be registered through native Filament PHP configuration; they are not portable Theme Settings keys. Use the six documented names when you want components to follow the editor automatically. Reset tab restores these preferences in the draft, including Primary. Because Primary is shared, resetting Colors can also change Accent in Appearance.
