Theme Settings is the administrator interface for the current panel. It controls appearance without replacing native Filament forms, navigation or permissions. Saved values apply to everyone using that panel; they are not a personal profile or an independent settings record for each tenant.

Installation

Use a Filament 5 application with PHP 8.3 or later, a native theme build and a purchased FLEX Theme license. The current implementation is verified against Filament 5.10.2.
Keep Composer authentication in your local credentials or CI secrets.
If needed, generate the native theme with php artisan make:filament-theme admin. Keep its generated imports and add:
The package ships built JavaScript. Republish its runtime and rebuild your app’s theme after upgrades. Configure Laravel’s public disk and storage link for branding uploads. Define the manage-flex-theme gate described in Panels and permissions.

Settings tabs

The page remembers its active tab in the tab query parameter: appearance, colors, brand, layout, details, search, or keyboard. Generate links through ThemeSettingsPage::getUrl(['tab' => 'layout']) instead of hard-coding a panel path. Search and Keyboard tabs are conditionally available; see PHP configuration.

Preview, save and reset

Appearance controls preview changes on the settings page. Save changes validates and persists them for the current panel, then reloads the page so panel configuration and navigation reflect the saved values. Adding a font to the picker or changing a layout tile is not a separate automatic save. Filament warns before leaving with unsaved changes, including native SPA navigation. The save bar reflects the saved baseline. Reset tab changes that tab’s draft preferences after confirmation. Restore defaults resets all preference tabs. Neither saves automatically. Both preserve workspace identity, branding files, the custom font library and PHP-enforced values. Brand is deliberately not a resettable preference tab.

Choose who owns configuration

Read PHP configuration for precedence, feature switches, JSON transfer and a complete recipe. Read Panels and permissions before enabling administration in a multi-panel or multi-tenant app.
