A selected source appears as a pill in the input. Typing after it searches that source. Returning restores the previous query and context. Record actions remain on the result’s right edge rather than in another drill-down screen.

Open a scoped child source

Return this item from an authorized source. The destination source reads the data from its SearchRequest:
A signed context protects navigation integrity. It does not replace record authorization. Keep large identifiers as strings to avoid JavaScript integer precision loss.

Open through a command

The callback assumes that the current customers context already carries an authorized customer_id. Use a source result to provide record-specific context; a category alone does not imply a selected record.

Target an exact route

The command service must resolve and authorize its intended scope itself; a matching context is not a grant to export data.

SearchContext fields

Context paths and data are bounded. A source ID uses lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, starts with a letter and is at most 80 characters. The path accepts at most eight segments; context data is bounded to 4096 encoded bytes and validated scalar/array structures. Do not put models, secrets or full record payloads in it.

Keyboard behavior

Backspace returns when the input is empty. With text present, it edits the text normally. Escape closes the active search dialog, while native child dialogs retain their own close handling. See Keyboard shortcuts for configurable back/previous/next bindings.
